The competition was held by the National Federation of Meat Traders with  stiff competition from entrants across the UK. Director Pete Mitchell who's family have been farming and producing food in Scotland for almost 300 years  says he is "thrilled to receive recognition for our products which are handmade to a 100 year old original  recipe with all natural ingredients free from preservatives and additives. Pete adds they  use ingredients either homegrown or locally sourced here in Scotland; it's how food used to taste, real flavour and texture!”

The Farmers Son currently retail their award winning traditional Black Pudding, White Pudding & Haggis  across the UK, supplying many of the country’s  top butchers, delicatessens and farm shops including IJ Mellis Cheese mongers and Ardross Farm Shop.
